Chemtex's agriculture grade super absorbent polymer, under the trade name "ALSTA HYDROGEL" is for use in agriculture fields where there is an issue of water shortage or scarcity. This polymer on application, absorbs water and forms gel. This gel holds water for a long period of time and releases it slowly, ensuring constant water supply to the roots. This polymer needs to be applied at the base of the crop. The polymer is re-usable, i.e., once applied, it will work for a whole one crop season.
