Specifically formulated Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor is used in engine coolant or antifreeze to prevent or minimize the corrosion of metal components within the cooling system. The primary purpose of a coolant corrosion inhibitor is to protect the engine and cooling system from the damaging effects of rust, scale, and other forms of corrosion. It creates a protective film on the metal surfaces, preventing corrosion and inhibiting the formation of deposits.

Our Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor meets or exceeds the following ASTM standards for corrosion protection:

• ASTM D 1384 for glassware corrosion testing
• ASTM D 4340 for cast aluminium alloy corrosion test under heat rejected condition
• ASTM D 2570 for simulated service corrosion testing
• ASTM D 2809 for testing cavitation erosion corrosion in aluminium water pumps

Coolant antiscalant of Chemtex speciality is a superior blend of acrylates for softening and conditioning agents for high hardness, iron, and silica content. The main advantage of coolant antiscalants is that it is a non-toxic blend, used to minimize the potential of scale and sludge deposition on coolant blends. Mainly Chemtex’s antiscalants are designed to inhibit the formation and precipitation of crystallized mineral salts to form scales.

Ethylene Glycol is an organic compound to protect system metal surfaces without damaging the system. Ethylene Glycol is widely used as an antifreeze and automotive heat transfer fluid. It is a clear, colorless, and practically odorless liquid completely soluble in water. It is comlpletely soluble in water, high energy density, low volatility, has high boiling point etc.

Coolant Antifreeze or Heat Transfer Fluids are designed to prevent the inner engine parts from forming deposits, a major cause of failure. Compatible with most variants of cooling systems with added inhibitor package to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminium alloys and other components such as rubber hoses, gaskets, rubber seals, plastic components etc., that are commonly found in the engine radiator. The Coolant Antifreeze is Low silicate, borate free, NAP free.

The leak detection dye manufactured by Chemtex is specifically designed to be added to the coolant to identify and locate leaks.
