Chemtex's Heat Exchanger Descalant is a 3-in-1 compound for removal of scale, rust and greasy deposits in water systems. It removes heavy deposits of water scale and iron oxides very effectively. It is perfectly suitable for removing lime and rust deposits and oily contaminants. Chemtex's Heat Exchanger Descalant comes with an inbuilt rust inhibitor package to protect cleaned surfaces from acidic attack. It can be used on most common metals such as Ms, Ss, copper, cast iron, copper alloys such as Cu-Ni except zinc and galvanized surface. These formulation are very efficient in cleaning and pose excellent scale penetration property.






Condenser Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Condenser Descalant is a blend of acids with inhibitors. It is designed to remove mineral scales and metal oxide (rust) deposits in water systems that are subject to deposit-accumulation. Typical tasks are descaling of condenser, evaporator, heat exchangers, evaporative condensers, boilers, geysers, solar heaters, blow mouding machines, gear box, steel parts cleaning, vacuum pump decalcifying etc.

CHEMTEX'S Condenser Descalant is inhibited to protect cleaned surfaces from acidic attack. It can be used on most common metals such as ms, ss, copper, cast iron, copper alloys such as cu-ni except zinc and galvanized surface.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Condenser Descalant is used in various applications and at different concentration ratio depending upon the amount and type of deposit and system parameters. Normally for a system with hard scale deposits a 20% V/V solution is recommended. Preferably this solution should be made with pre-heated water at 70-80oc. The total volume of solution should be about 1.2 times of water holding capacity of equipment to be descaled.

Recirculate the solution for about 6 hours using an acid compatible pump. After descaling it is necessary to passivate system with 2% solution of alstascale ps20 into the last rinse and return to normal service.

Important
1. For extremely rock hard and thick scaling it is recommended to soften the scale prior to descaling by recirculating and soaking 5-10% solution of alstascale ss22 for 2-3 hours followed with rinsing with plain water before dosing descalant.
2. In case of high silica and iron deposits add 2-3 parts alstascale sr60 to 10parts of CHEMTEX'S condenser descalant
3. After dosing chemical never heat solution by firing burners

Phe Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Phe Descalant is a low foaming acidic cleaner for phe for cleaning of organic, inorganic soils and scale deposits commonly found in equipments, bright beer tanks, road tankers, phes (plate type heat exchangers), cold milk surfaces and bottle / dish rinsing aid for shining and alkali neutralization.

CHEMTEX'S Phe Descalant is a phosphoric acid based liquid descaler that rinses off alkaline residue and aids in removal of lime scales and acid soluble residues. It is used in a wide range of applications and is suitable for use on aluminum, cast iron, mild steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, monel and other cu-alloys. It is added with surfactants, defoamer and suitable organic inhibitors to prevent acid attack on metallurgy.

Application and Dosage
For carrying out phe descaling 5-10% W/W concentration of CHEMTEX'S phe descalant should be made in pre-heated water at 70\B0C To 80\B0C for recirulation, dip method or fill and soak method, followed with neutralization and passivation with passirinse\AE.

Note: At lower temperature foam may be generated. Thoroughly rinse after use from all food and beverage contact surfaces.

Tube In Tube Descaling Chemical

CHEMTEX'S Tube In Tube Descaling Chemical is a liquid blend of various acids with corrosion inhibitors and emulsifiers. It is designed to remove mineral scales and metal oxide (rust) deposits in water systems that are subject to deposit-accumulation.

CHEMTEX'S Tube In Tube Descaling Chemical can be used on most common metals such as ms, ss, copper, cast iron, copper alloys such as cu-ni except zinc and galvanized surface.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Tube In Tube Descaling Chemical is used at about 20% concentration for hard scale deposits. Preferably this solution should be made with pre-heated water at 70-80oc. The total volume of solution should be about 1.2 times of water holding capacity of equipment to be descaled. Recirculate the solution for about 6 hours using an acid compatible pump. Silica Scale Removal

CHEMTEX'S Silica Scale Removal is a powder based additive for descaling solutions for silica or silicates scales removal from heat exchangers, condensers and boiler tubes. The product is inhibited with corrosion inhibitors but special care must be taken towards handling and storage of product. The product has ability to dissolve glass or glasswares.

It can be used on most common metals such as ms, ss, cast iron, copper, copper alloys and aluminum but not on galvanized surfaces. CHEMTEX'S silica scale removal is compatible with alstascale ds80, ds85, ds40 and chemclean range of acidic descalants.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Silica Scale Removal is added with other descalants in the ratio of 20%-40% W/W of acidic descalant or 2-10% W/V of the total water hold up volume. The solution is then re-circulated into the heat exchanger or boiler tubes for prescribed duration. After the descaling is complete drain out the descaling solution and passivate the system to avoid flash rusting with alstascale ps20 (liquid) or passirinse (powder).

Evaporative Condenser Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Evaporative Condenser Descalant is a 100% organic chemical and is a very effective stand-alone formula for regular online treatment of evaporative condenser and atmospheric condenser that are normally found in dairy, breweries, cold storage, food processing and other small hvac installations.

CHEMTEX'S Evaporative Condenser Descalant is a unique online coil, pipe work and tube bundle cleaner based on organic biodegradable chemicals. It is effective for removing and prevention of water hardness and iron scale deposits, bio-foulants and metal oxide deposits that are found on the coils, metal work and plastic components.

CHEMTEX'S Evaporative Condenser Descalant is non-corrosive on ss304, ss304l, ss314, ss316, ss316l, ss309, ss310, tinned iron, mild steel, copper, brass and titanium; while it is safe (as per industrial standard) on aluminum and galvanized iron (up to a permissible limit of 0.7% chemical concentration)

Application and Dosage
For Initial Scale Removal:-
In a 1000 ltrs volume system- dose 5-10kgs CHEMTEX'S evaporative condenser descalant in the sump/basin. keep the system running normally for 24 hours or till the water becomes very turbid (max 36 hours). Drain-out entire solution. Re-fill the system with fresh water and repeat process till the system is clean.

Please Note: -
1. Do not do any blow-down during this treatment
2. Continue with regular make up as and when required during treatment.

For Regular Treatment:-
In a 1000ltrs volume system - dose 1-2kgs of CHEMTEX'S evaporative condenser descalant per 100tr of evaporative condenser capacity in the sump/basin manually or with continuous injection dosing pump to the makeup water line. Maintain a regular blow down of 500ltrs per 100tr / day.

Washing Machine Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Washing Machine Descalant is an efficient descaling agent and is used for cleaning of washing machines. It is available in powder forms and are very effective to clean and remove soil deposits from washing machines and mechanized laundry.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Washing Machine Descalant is normally used for a system with hard scale deposits a 10-20% V/V solution.

Inhibited Citric Acid

Inhibited Citric Acid is a well formulated scale remover and cleaners used in industrial sectors. Cleaning can be done either mechanically or with the use of chemicals. Mechanical cleaning takes a great deal of downtime and does not always get all the scale out. Inhibited Citric Acid is most reliable in such cases. It is suitable in cleaning metals without excessive corrosion.
