Coolant

The Coolant is ideally used in a device to prevent it from overheating. These fluids are formulated by making use of premium grade chemical compounds and sophisticated methodologies to make it indulged with anti-corrosion, anti-scaling, and anti-fungi properties. These formulations are blended with attributes such as low viscosity, reduce fan usage, fuel saving, non-toxicity, high thermal capacity and chemically inert. The products which we cater under this category are Engine Coolant, Industrial Coolant, OAT Coolant, Antifreeze 50:50 Coolant and Ethylene Glycol.

The coolant is processed by employing advanced organic acid technology formula. The phase transition along with latent heat addition, improvises the cooling efficiency of our offered liquefied product. This product is idyllically utilized in automobiles, machines, HVAC and various other industrial processing.






Engine Coolant

CHEMTEX'S ENGINE COOLANT is a range of Corrosion Inhibited Ethylene Glycol based heat transfer fluids, used as an industrial / engine coolant, antifreeze agent. The inhibitor package is designed to protect brass, copper, solder, steel, cast iron, aluminum alloys and other components such as rubber hoses, gaskets, rubber seals, plastic components etc., that are commonly found in the cooling and heating systems and in engine and radiator.

The effectiveness of CHEMTEX'S ENGINE COOLANT in preventing corrosion / metal cavitation has been proven in extensive laboratory and in actual service tests. Using CHEMTEX'S ENGINE COOLANT for heat transfer applications instead of un-inhibited or traditional ethylene glycol, reduces maintenance costs and improves heat transfer efficiency.

CHEMTEX'S ENGINE COOLANT will raise the boiling point and lower the freezing point of the engine coolant. The benefits impart resistance to the engine coolant from boiling in summer CHEMTEX'S ENGINE COOLANT are compatible with all types of coolants (both inhibited and un-inhibited glycol based), thus enables the flexibility of being added to a coolant solution of some other brand or make.

CHEMTEX'S INDUSTRIAL COOLANT is a liquid heat transfer fluid based on a blend of Glycol with Corrosion Inhibitor, Dye, Antifoam, Biocide (Preservative) etc. Typical coolant fomulations are mentioned below:-

Mono Ethylene Glycol - 95%
Corrosion Inhibitor (RADIKOOL CI) - 1.2%
Cool Glo Coolant Dye - 0.05 to 0.1%
Foamloc Antifoam - 0.05%
Alstacide Biocide Preservative - 0.05%
Water - 3.65%

Application and Dosage
Drain and flush previous fluid according to the instructions provided by the engine manufacturer. For best results in cleaning and flushing of engine raditor, add 1 part ALSTACLEAN RC50 (Radiator Internal Cleaner) to 5 parts fluid and run engine for 30-45mins. Drain out the dirty fluid and flush with water until clear water is found at the reject line. CHEMTEX'S ANTIFREEZE 50:50 COOLANT are added as it is into the system. Start and run engine for 5 minutes to circulate the fluid. Check for leaks and top-up system with CHEMTEX'S ANTIFREEZE 50:50 COOLANT if required. For maximum system protection, replace the coolants atleast every three years or 60,000kms.

Note: Do not add water to the cooling system when refilling, only add CHEMTEX'S ANTIFREEZE 50:50 COOLANT

Ethylene Glycol

Ethylene Glycol
CHEMTEX'S ETHYLENE GLYCOL (also referred as Ethylene Glycol) is an organic compound having molecular formula as CH2OHCH2OH. Ethylene Glycol is widely used as an antifreeze and automotive heat transfer fluid. It is clear, colorless and practically odorless liquid completely soluble in water.

Ethylene Glycol is corrosive and toxic. Ingestion can result in death.

Application and Dosage
In new plant or normal conditions, the dosage of CHEMTEX'S ETHYLENE GLYCOL is ranged from 1.0 to 1.2% v/v. However, the required dosage may vary depending upon working conditions, pH and glycol-liquor ratio.

Please refer your CSL representative to calculate the required dosage for your plant.
