Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor

The Coolant Corrosion Inhibitor is used for inhibiting engine or coolant internal surfaces from the attack of corrosion. The products which we cater under this category are Nalcool 2000, Nitrite Based Corrosion Inhibitor, Nitrite Borate & Azole, Nitrite Silicate & Amine Free Corrosion Inhibitor, Glycerine Corrosion Inhibitor and Coolant Thickening Chemical. This inhibitor range is composed from the finest grade rust inhibitors and other compositions to ensure excellent reduction in mineral scale deposits and sludge.

Our inhibitor provides excellent protection to metallic surfaces from corrosion with its unique features like high effectiveness, anti-corrosive, scale prevention, enhance system life and save power. These corrosion inhibitors are used in water treatment plants, cooling towers, chiller water treatment plants and vehicles.






Nalcool 2000

CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 is a multifunctional blend of nitrite based corrosion inhibitors for engine system. It prevents corrosion or rusting of metal by forming a passive coating of protective film on the metal surface. CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 contains a combination of ferrous and non-ferrous corrosion inhibitor, non-carbonate buffer, scale inhibitor, dispersant and leak detection dye.

Active Components: Nitrite, Nitrate, TT, Borate, Silicate and Polyacrylate for Aluminum, MS, Copper and Cu-alloys

Application and Dosage
System Preparation: To remove all dirt deposits, oil and rust particles, run the engine for 24-72 hours with 2ltrs ALSTACLEAN RC50 for every 30ltrs of fresh water/coolant and then drain the dirty solution. Flush engine with fresh water and add fresh water/coolant with CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 in the indicated ratio (1ltr for every 32ltrs of water/coolant).

Initial dose: Add CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 - 1ltr for every 32ltrs of water/coolant to maintain a nitrite level of about 1200ppm. To maintain a correct inhibitor level in the system, it is necessary to always top-up the system with CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 during make-up requirement of plain water/coolant

Regular dose (for small system less than 80ltrs): Add CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 - 1ltr for every 32ltrs of water/coolant after every 20,000kms or 250hours or running.

Regular dose (for large system above 80ltrs): Add CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 - 1ltr for every 80ltrs of water/coolant at every routine service.

Shelf life in use: CHEMTEX'S NALCOOL 2000 should be drained and flushed once every year


Handling measures and precautions
Proper human safety products such as Splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Splashes on skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush it with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Should not be injected. Nitrite Based Corrosion Inhibitor

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BASED CORROSION INHIBITOR is a superior blend of multi-metal corrosion inhibitors for closed loop system containing chiller or hot water. It prevents corrosion or rusting of metal by forming a passive coating of protective oxide film on steel.

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BASED CORROSION INHIBITOR also contains a special yellow metal (copper) corrosion inhibitor,that protects copper and its alloys such as cupro-nickel, brass etc., from corrosion.

In case of hardness ingress CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BASED CORROSION INHIBITOR prevents scaling and deposition of calcium and magnesium hardness and iron deposits. Thus keeping the heat exchange at best efficiency.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BASED CORROSION INHIBITOR is a nitrite based system corrosion inhibitor program and should be added directly to the system in its neat form or diluted with clean, soft water to give a desired nitrite level. It can be dosed directly to the make up tank or with metered injection dosing pump into the closed circuit. The nitrite level varies from 600-2400 ppm (as NO2) depending upon the application.

Note : Nitrite based program is a completely organic and biodegradable program, for this reason, the nitrite is degraded by bacteria. A non-oxidising biocide such as Important ALSTACIDE CW30 at 50-100ppm dosage will prevent this degradation.

Nitrite Borate and Azole

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BORATE AND AZOLE is a superior blend of multi-metal corrosion inhibitors for closed loop system containing glycol and water. It prevents corrosion or rusting of metal by forming a passive coating of protective oxide film on the metal surface and by removing the dissolved oxygen in the system which results in glycol degradation to form into five organic acids viz., Glycolic Acid, Glyoxalic Acid, Formic Acid, Carbonic Acid and Oxalic Acid.

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE BORATE AND AZOLE also contains a special yellow metal (copper) corrosion inhibitor, that protects copper and its alloys such as cupro-nickel, brass etc., from corrosion.

Nitrite Silicate and Amine Free Corrosion Inhibitor

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE SILICATE AND AMINE FREE CORROSION INHIBITOR is a specially formulated chemical additive for Mono Ethylene Glycol to protect system metals from corrosion. It is a multi-metal corrosion inhibitor and prevents corrosion in multi-ways.

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE SILICATE AND AMINE FREE CORROSION INHIBITOR modifies metal surface by absorption and making it less susceptible to corrosion. It buffers the organic acids formed as a result of glycol oxidation and prevents further formation of acids. CHEMTEX'S NITRITE SILICATE AND AMINE FREE CORROSION INHIBITOR protects the metal surface from corrosion without reducing the system\92s heat transfer efficiency.

Mono Ethylene Glycol oxidizes when exposed to air and heat. When this occurs, five organic acids viz., Glycolic, Glyoxalic, Formic, Carbonic and Oxalic Acid are formed. If not properly inhibited, this fluid gets very corrosive. These organic acids then chemically attacks and corrodes the system metal, causing pitting, pinhole and stress cracking corrosion.

CHEMTEX'S NITRITE SILICATE AND AMINE FREE CORROSION INHIBITOR is added to Ethylene Glycol to act as buffer, preventing low pH attack on the metals. It also passivates the metal surface to protect them from corrosion.

Coolant Thickening Chemical

CHEMTEX'S COOLANT THICKENING CHEMICAL is an organic product derived from plant extracts to impart a cosmetic effect to the aqueous solution by increasing the thickness of a water / glycol based industrial / automotive coolant.

CHEMTEX'S COOLANT THICKENING CHEMICAL is designed in such a way that it will not have any side effect on the metals (aluminum, copper, cast iron, steel etc.), rubber hoses, seals and other engine component and will pass through the glassware corrosion test.

In addition, CHEMTEX'S COOLANT THICKENING CHEMICAL also has a significant advantage that it looses its thickening properties when it is added to the engine. This helps by not causing a high pumping load on the radiator.
