These are used for make the boilers’ inner surface free from scale at the time of normal boiler operation. This descalant is the precise formulation of inorganic and organic sequestrants and dispersants. It impeccably removes magnesium, calcium and iron scales without requiring any downtime or shutdown. These chemical formulations are recognized for their unique characteristics like anti-corrosive to metallurgy, power saving by removing scale, no requirement of separating cleaning circuit and no labor costing. It contains all high performance chemicals which are excellent in oil and grease removal.Our descaling formulations are used for boiler steam generation system, food processing, pharmaceutical, sugar and petroleum industry.




Boiler Online Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Boiler Online Descalant is a unique formulation of organic and inorganic sequestrants and dispersants which are designed to keep the boiler internals free from scale, which are formed during operation. It slowly removes iron, calcium and magnesium scales during the normal boiler operation, and therefore called Online Boiler Descalant.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Boiler Online Descalant is maintained in the boiler at 10-20ppm dosage in feed water until scale deposition is removed from the boiler. Blow down rate should be increased to remove the loose and liquefied scale from the boiler.

CHEMTEX'S Boiler Online Descalant should be added continuously in the feed water tank along with other treatment chemicals. It is preferable to dose the product in the boiler feed water line for effective utilization.

Proper human safety products such as Splash goggles, lab coat, vapor respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying chemicals. Liquid Boiler Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Liquid Boiler Descalant is a multi-functional heavy duty chemical compound for removal of scale, rust and greasy deposits in boiler systems. It removes heavy deposits of water scale and iron oxides very effectively. It is perfectly suitable for removing lime and rust deposits and oily contaminants.

CHEMTEX'S Liquid Boiler Descalant comes with an inbuilt corrosion inhibitor package to protect cleaned surfaces from acidic attack. It is compatible with most common metals such as MS, SS, Copper, Copper alloys such as Cu-Ni except zinc and galvanized surface.

Application and Dosage
Prepare a solution of 10% w/w CHEMTEX'S Liquid Boiler Descalant in preheated water (preferably) at 70-80oC. The descalant solution should be prepared 10-20% in excess of the system hold up volume. Re-circulate the solution using an acid compatible pump (with polypropylene impeller) for maximum of 6 hours. After descaling is completed, Flush out the solution and rinse once with plain water. Passivate the system with 2% w/w PASSIRINSE\AE solution in water and recirculate for an hour at ambient temperature. Passivation is done to avoid flash rusting after descaling. Flush out the solution and return system to normal service.

Note
If a boiler is to be kept idle for some time, it is recommended to fill it with 1% solution of PASSIRINSE, for system preservation against rusting.

Inhibited Sulfamic Acid

CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid is a sulfamic acid based descalant combined with corrosion inhibitor and wetting agent, to provide corrosion protection to metal during descaling and giving optimum cleaning of water side of heat exchangers and boilers.

CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid also aids in removal of loose corrosion products, organic foulants, and dirt, clay and silt deposits.

CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid is used for descaling of high and low pressure boilers, heat exchangers etc., and is safe for aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, mild steel, cast iron, brass, admiralty metal, titanium, copper and copper alloys, PVC plastic, rubber or leather when used as directed.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid is a non-inflammable and biodegradable chemical compound and does not give off obnoxious fumes. The method of using CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid is very simple and basic.

Prepare a solution of 5-10% w/w CHEMTEX'S Inhibited Sulfamic Acid in preheated water (preferably) at 70-80oC. The descalant solution should be prepared 10-20% in excess of the system hold up volume. Sulfamic Descalant

CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant is an efficient descaling agent and is used for cleaning of a variety of industrial equipments and domestic appliances. CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant can be used for removing water and process scales from industrial equipments. Broadly these find use in the chemical and fertilizer industry, dairy and food equipments, brewery equipment, marine equipment, sugar industry etc.

CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant is non-inflammable and, unlike Hydrochloric Acid, does not give off obnoxious fumes. The safety of CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant has been further increased by the addition of corrosion inhibitors and other chemicals to make CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant a versatile descaling agent which is safer still in terms of equipment corrosion and safety of personnel.

The field of descaling is wide and the exact application of CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant can only be determined after considering the nature and extent of scaling, and the type of equipment that is to be descaled.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Sulfamic Descalant is used in various applications and at different concentration ratio depending upon the amount and type of deposit and system parameters.

Normally for a system with hard scale deposits a 5-20% v/v solution is recommended. Preferably this solution should be made with pre-heated water at 70-80oC. The total volume of solution should be about 1.2 times of water holding capacity of equipment to be descaled. Recirculate the solution for about 6 hours using an acid compatible pump. After descaling it is necessary to passivate system with 2% solution of ALSTASCALETM PS20 into the last rinse and return to normal service.

Important
  • For extremely rock hard and thick scaling it is recommended to soften the scale prior to descaling by recirculating and soaking 5-10% solution of ALSTASCALETM SS22 for 2-3 hours followed with rinsing with plain water before dosing descalant.
  • In case of high silica and iron deposits add 2-3 parts ALSTASCALETM SR60 of Sulfamic Acid.
  • After dosing chemical never heat solution by firing burners.

Inhibitor for Sulfamic Acid

CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Sulfamic Acid is a multi acid corrosion inhibitor based on diethyl thiourea, stabilizers and surfactants.

CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Sulfamic Acid is semi foaming acidic corrosion inhibitor that is suitable for pre-formulated descalant.

CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Sulfamic Acid is suitable for metal such as Copper, Brass, Nickel, Tin, Lead, Zinc, Galvanized surface and all type of steel.

Inhibitor for Hydrochloric Acid

CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Hydrochloric Acid is a NPE free (nonyl-phenol free) mildly acidic blend of proprietary corrosion inhibitor and glycol-ether based coupling agents with less than 1% Propargyl alcohol and surfactant.

CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Hydrochloric Acid is designed to inhibit the attack of hydrochloric acid on iron and steel during industrial cleaning and acid pickling operations. It is much low on toxicity yet very effective in corrosion inhibition properties with above 99% inhibition on most of the ferrous metals.

Application and Dosage
CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Hydrochloric Acid is a concentrated product and is used at various dosage rates depending upon the operating temperature. In acid pickling application: for every 1000ltrs of diluted hydrochloric acid at 5-20% w/w add 1 to 6kgs of CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Hydrochloric Acid depending upon the temperature and concentration of acid.

In acid cleaning application: Add 1-2kgs of CHEMTEX'S Inhibitor For Hydrochloric Acid for every 100kgs of concentrated industrial grade HCL (33-37%), depending upon the operational temperature.

However, for exact product dosage at given temperature and acid concentration in the desired application, please refer your CSL technical representative.
