EDTA Acid


Description
Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid or EDTA is an amino-poly carboxylic acid. EDTA is a colourless to whitish powder that is readily water-soluble. EDTA is widely used for dissolving lime scale deposits or as a chelating agent i.e., its ability to "sequester" the metal ions such as Calcium and Ferric.

In industry, EDTA is mainly used for the sequestering of metal ions in aqueous solution. In the textile industry, it aids in the prevention of metal ion impurities from modifying colors of dyed products. EDTA is added to some food as a preservative or stabilizer to prevent catalytic oxidative decoloration, which is catalyzed by metal ions. In the pulp and paper industry, EDTA inhibits the ability of metal ions, especially Mn2+, from catalyzing the disproportionation of hydrogen peroxide, which is used in "chlorine-free bleaching."

EDTA Pure Acid


Description
EDTA pure acid is a pure form of Ethylene Diamine Tetra acetic Acid. EDTA is widely recognized as an effective Sequestering Agent. Chelating Agent


Description
Chelation refers to the process of formation or presence of two or more separate coordinate bonds between a polydentate (multiple bonded) ligand and a single central atom. Usually these ligands are organic compounds, and are called chelants, chelators, chelating agents, or sequestering agents. EDTA Disodium Salt


Description
EDTA Disodium Salt is a solid form of EDTA salt with 2 parts of sodium anion. EDTA 2Na is usually used for chelation purpose for cleaning applications and formulation products. EDTA Disodium Salt serves as an extensively used chelator of divalent cations such as Ca2+.

EDTA (Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid) is a chelating agent, a general chemical, and a sequestrant. In molecular biology applications, it is used to help minimize metal ion contaminants. Bleach Stabilizer


Description
Bleach Stabilizers are chemical compounds that help in the prevention of the bleach from decomposing and thereby increases the life of Bleach during storage and in operations. Bleach stabilizers impart store and depot action to bleaching agents and thereby results in increasing the bleaching efficiency.

The role of the stabilizer is to act as buffers, sequestrates and in some cases, enhancing the performance of the surfactant used in the bleach bath. The sequestering helps in the inactivation of metallic impurities which causes catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide or precipitation of hydroxides or carbonates. ATMP


Description
ATMP or Amino Trimethyl Phosphonic Acid (CAS No.6419-19-8) is a phosphonate that finds its biggest application in water treatment. ATMP are available in salts of sodium compounds such as ATMP 2Na (Amino Trimethyl Phosphonic Acid - Disodium salt), ATMP 4Na (Amino Trimethyl Phosphonic Acid - Tetra sodium salt) etc. The product is commercially produced in liquid form as ATMP 50%.

DTMPA


Description
DTMPA or Diethylene Triamine Penta (Methylene Phosphonic) Acid (CAS No.15827-60-8) is an organo phosphonate compound that exhibits excellent sequestration of metal ions. It also functions as a threshold inhibitor for scales in water treatment chemistry. The ability of DTMPA to deflocculate or disperse metal ions such as Fe helps to make it an essential ingredient in versatile applications. DTMPA is available in salts and solution of 50% active content.

HEDP


Description
HEDP or Hydroxy Ethylene Diphosphonic Acid (CAS No. 2809-21-4) is an organo phosphonate with multifunctional properties sequestration, deflocculation and super threshold inhibition as a single active ingredient. HEDP are available in salts of sodium compounds such as HEDP 2Na (Hydroxy Ethylene Diphosphonic Acid - Disodium salt), HEDP 4Na (Hydroxy Ethylene Diphosphonic Acid - Tetra sodium salt) etc. The product is commercially produced in liquid form as HEDP 50% / 60%.

Phosphonates Acid


Description
Phosphonate Acids are effective chelating agents as they bind tightly to di- and trivalent metal ions, which is useful in water softening. In this way, they help in the prevention of formation of insoluble precipitates (scale). The binding of these ligands also suppresses the catalytic properties of metal ions. They are stable under harsh conditions. For these reasons, an important industrial use of phosphonate acid is in cooling waters, desalination systems, and in oil fields to aid in the inhibition of scale formation.

Phosphonate acids are also regularly used in reverse osmosis systems as anti-scalants. Phosphonate acids also serve to control corrosion of iron and steel in cooling water systems. Sequestering Agent


Description
Sequestering Agent are chemical compounds that function in a particular way that ions and molecules bind metal ions. Sequestering agents are also known as chelating agents. Chelation is used in treatment of metal poisoning and in industrial extraction of metals. Sequestering agents are available in both powder and liquid form, depending upon the type of applications.
